Litecast Homefloors are a leading manufacturer and supplier of concrete beam flooring systems.  They embrace innovative technology which is proven in both their products and their in-house bespoke software systems.  Litecast were looking to BIM technologies to replace their aging AutoCAD solution.  A BIM product would not only provide a better, more feature rich solution, but also better align Litecast with other design disciplines within the AEC industry.

Premier BIM were commissioned to design and deliver a Revit solution with a bespoke Add-In that streamlined the total floor design process to their exact specification.  Adhering to their structural loadings, maximum spans, centre types, etc. the beam placement is automatic with various ray trace and geometric techniques being used to give the beams / blocks / panels “awareness” of their surroundings.  The resulting Add-In is a full product suite capable of delivering a design in the fraction of the time of their previous AutoCAD system.

GIA are a specialist multi-disciplinary surveying and design consultancy with expertise in Rights of Light, Daylight & Sunlight for Planning, Daylight + Solar Design, Party Wall & Neighbourly matters and Building Consultancy.

We initially provided a feasibility study to assess the suitability of Revit as a replacement for their rights of light analysis solution which is currently hosted on AutoCAD. Custom Revit Add-Ins were scoped out and created to test key aspects of the analysis process but despite a successful conclusion, the decision was made to revisit the Revit approach in the future. During the study we had identified some key areas that could be improved within their existing AutoCAD solution so our focus was switched to implementing those recommendations. These would focus on productivity and included QA tools to quickly identify and fix irregularities within the data inputs and to unlock the analysis data by storing it in a central database.

This led to the creation of a database viewer app that is used to quickly search, filter and view analysis results. Reports are now created in a couple of minutes compared with a couple of days using the old methods. The viewer also makes the data more readily available across the teams.

CS Design Software provide integrated landscape software products for landscape professionals.  Premier BIM provide advice and development services across their product range particularly with regards to BIM integration.

Steffian Bradley Architects (SBA) is an award-winning, international firm specializing in architecture, interiors, planning, lighting, and urban design.

As part of their ongoing Better Ways of Working program (BWoW), they approached Premier BIM to develop and support a bespoke add-in for Revit customised to their specific requirements.  Focusing around Room Data Sheets, the tools enable them to work more productively without the need for various disjointed third party software programs and move the design tools into one common interface.

Jacobs are one of the biggest AEC design consultancies in the world.

We provided and supported a set of Revit productivity tools which were designed to radically cut Revit design time by automating complex and time consuming processes.  Have also provided central low maintenance management tools in relation to Revit and other Autodesk products that allowed the central distribution of products and Add-Ins, provide hardware and software audits and provide graphic journal analysis to profile performance.
